Week Three Review & Encouragement
Wow! This month seems to have flown by. I hope that you’re meeting your February goals with progress! I have accomplished two with ease. One seems to be way more trouble that I thought.
1) The daily Proverbs has become automatic (yippee!). I love starting out my day in the Word. 2) I’ve been able to post weekly and participate in blog hops. I have really enjoyed visiting with everyone. I always learn something new and fun. It’s the third goal of getting to bed by 10:30pm that is proving to be quite the challenge. I have been to bed before midnight only twice so far. No matter what time I get into bed, the little wheels in my head just keep turning and turning. I’m not ready to scrap this goal yet, though.
One encouraging quote that I love is from Winston Churchill:
AMEN! Love your ending.
I share the same LOVE, starting my day in the Word! Keep working on #2 – maybe try to ease it back by 15 minutes each week, just a suggestion. =)
Take a deep breath, smile BIG and keep trying…press on!! That IS what’s important. Loved reading your update, thank you. =)
Keeping it Personal,
Teri Johnson
do you read in bed?
I find it really helps me relax 🙂
keep up the good work
Two out of three is pretty good already. The only way I would get myself to bed that early every night would be to set a series of alarms so I could let myself know every 15 minutes of the last hour how much more time I had.
Hitting 2 out of 3 consistantly is awesome!! Do you have an evening routine? Perhaps that might help?!?
Good job on what’s already been accomplished! As for #3, that is something that will happen with time. I used to stay up until at least 11 pm every night, then up early. It has taken me a year just to work my way to being in bed at 8 pm. Sometimes I lay there until 9 because I can’t go to sleep, but I try to stay still and purposefully quiet my mind with prayer or a book.
Just wanted to encourage you not to give up on this goal. It’s an important one, and one that I believe you’ll be thankful you stuck to later on, when you’re getting more sleep. 😉
I needed that pep talk!
